Elections for the National Union of Hospitality Catering and Tourism Industries Employees will be held on the 6th and 7th of October.

The election was held earlier this month, but was declared null and void by the Fijian Elections Office because of irregularities in the voter roll.

The FEO has given the union 5th September to submit a revised voter roll.

Elections Supervisor Mahammed Saneem says this time around, they will conduct their own verification on the names handed in.

Just under one thousand workers in the hotel and catering industry will vote for a General Secretary.
