Three long serving firefighters farewelled

The National Fire Authority farewelled three of its long serving firefighters at the Nadi Fire Station yesterday.

This is after they reached the retirement age of fifty-five.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer, John Pillay has retired after 37 years, Divisional Fire Officer Western Gopal Reddy served 26 years while leading Firefighter Savenaca Tabualevu has retired after serving the NFA for 22 years.

NFA Acting Chief Executive Mileta Seniroqa says that these fire officers have played a very important role in the fire service and the implementation of the reforms of the NFA.

Seniroqo also adds the three officers have faithfully served in this profession for more than 20 years and she can only admire them for their loyalty and passion.
