President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has thanked Fiji’s lone athlete to the Paralympic Games in London Iliesa Delana for scooping gold in high jump.

Ratu Epeli says Delana’s achievement is historic given it’s Fiji’s first medal at the Paralympics – and a gold at that.

He congratulated Delana and his family for the sacrifices they have made – which has rsulted in Fiji being recorded as a nation with the capability to
produce world champions.

Ratu Epeli says Delana has shown to all – what is humanly possible if one is to set his or her mind towards a certain goal.
