Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy says they are still anticipating to meet the end of the month target to distribute free textbooks to all the schools.

Dr Reddy says the main challenge is the transportation and delivery of textbooks to the schools.

However, he says they have deployed more resources to meet their target.

“We are working hard, this morning we again approved more overtime work and deploying some staff to the section so that we can get those additional material printed quickly.”

The first term school ends next week, a week before the ministry’s intended target to supply text books to all primary and secondary schools.
