Strong winds and heavy rain continue in the Central Division

Heavy rain and strong winds are still affecting the Central Division with fallen branches on the road.

Surface flooding was also noted in the greater Suva area due to blocked drains.

Residents in Sakoca say that strong winds experienced last night broke some trees around the area.

Strong winds and heavy rain is being experienced in greater Narere and Navosai as well.

Resident Aminiasi Cula says vegetation has been destroyed and breadfruits are scattered all over.

He says they were awake from mid-night as they observed the effects of the cyclone.

Similar conditions are being experienced by those in the greater Nausori area.

The Fiji Meteorological Services says on its current projected path, the eye of the Cyclone is expected to pass over the Central Division around mid-day.

TC Ana has picked up speed in the past few hours and is moving at 15km/hr.
