A taxi driver is being questioned at the Valelevu Police Station for an alleged hit and run which claimed a man’s life on Saturday.

The suspect is belived to have hit a 22 year old man along Ratu Dovi Road in Laucala Beach Nasinu.

Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri says the man was taken in after eye witnesses came forward with information.

No charges have been laid yet.

It’s believed the victim was drunk when the accident occurred.
