Police have taken a 20 year old man into custody in relation to the alleged rape of a 74-year old woman in Nasinu.

The attack allegedly took place in the elderly woman’s home in broad daylight yesterday afternoon.

Police say the woman was preyed on.

The suspect was apprehended when the woman lodged a complaint with police.

Chief of intelligence and investigations ACP, Henry Brown says the police force is concerned with the incident as there is no excuse for such behavior.
