Standing committees start work

The machinery of the Fijian Parliament has started its work for 2018, with the Standing Committees having begun deliberations this week.

This includes going through the annual reports, bill reports, work plans for 2018 and other pending issues within their various committees.

The standing committee on Economic Affairs began receiving submissions on the Fiji Electricity Authority 2016 Annual Report from relevant stakeholders.

The Committee received submissions from the Permanent Secretary of Public Enterprises, David Kolitagane and his delegation yesterday.

The Chief Executive of the Fiji Electricity Authority, Hasmukh Patel also made submissions on the FEA Annual Report.
