Stall owners claim business is slow at Festival

Some stall owners at this year’s Digicel Bula Festival have been complaining that business is slow and worrying.

Rajesh Devi works at a stall selling assorted sweets like candy floss and sweet popcorn. She says not many people have been buying from her stall since the festival opened on Monday.

“Business is not very good compared to last year business is very slow.”

BBQ stall owner Adesh Kumar has similar worries – almost at the end of the festival.

The highlight of the festival is the crowning of Miss Bula tomorrow night which is sure to draw in the crowd.

This year a total of 11 Queen Contestants will be vying for the Miss Bula title – including FBC’s very own Miss Bula FM Mere Vatuloka.
