Sports and agriculture help from N/Korea

North Korea has offered to assist Fiji in sports and agriculture.

The offer comes following a meeting with Fiji’s Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and his counterpart Pak Ui Hun in Pyongyang yesterday.

Kubuabola says North Korea will assist Fiji in further developing Judo and weightlifting – which the country is well known for.

Fiji will also learn from expertise that North Korea has in agriculture.

Both Ministers agreed to enhance their engagement at Ministerial and officials level and through their Embassies in countries where they both have
representations.

The visit comes following North Korea’s invitation to Fiji.
