Soldiers clean towns in the west

Fiji Military Officers cleaning towns in the western division have been given until midday to open the Nadi Town.

Soldiers from Nadi and Lautoka are cleaning the Jetset Town and are expected to have it open today.

Another group of soldiers have been sent to help clean Ba Town while 50 officers bound for peacekeeping duties in Iraq have left for Ba to help clear Rarawai mill in the next two days.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama continues his tour of the western division this morning.

He is being briefed about the current situation at the Commissioner Western’s office.

The PM will visit Ba today and will meet the Ba Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He will go to Nadarivatu before returning to Suva later this afternoon.
