During his maiden speech, Government Parliamentarian Rohit Ritesh Sharma says the free education scheme will take the country forward.
Sharma says the scheme is a hope of a better life for our future generation.
He says such a scheme is an example of what the government is capable of and what it will continue to do for the benefit of all Fijians.
“Through FijiFirst leadership, we have secured our children’s future and set up a direction that will ensure a brighter future for everyone. The greatest opportunity any parent in any society can give the next generation is education. With our government’s free education policy there is no discrimination amongst the rich and the poor.”
Sharma says it is also vital that parents spend time and supervise their children at home and see that they do their homework.
He says government is investing a lot in the education sector and parents also need to play their part.
