The Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde, has sanctioned charges against the Principal of Ratu Kadavulevu School for assaulting four of his students in March this year.

Peni Senikarawa is charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will be produced tomorrow at the Nausori Magistrates’ court.

It’s believed that earlier this year, a female teacher who is also the wife of the school principal tried to stop the students from vandalizing the school wall and that’s when the students allegedly swore at her.

It’s also alleged the Principal tried to discipline the group by applying corporal punishment and the matter was reported to Police.
