Teci villagers in the Yasawas have all moved to their village hall as the sea level continues to rise with the incoming tide this morning.
Village Nurse, Mereani Tuicama says two houses have been destroyed by the strong winds as rain continues to pour.
Meanwhile, Police in Lautoka are now urging the public to adhere to the weather forecasts and not to attempt going out as the rain and winds have picked up around the western division.
Sergant Lagakali Uluiviti says they will be meeting this hour to decide the next course of action in assisting tourists in and around the western division.
