A non government organisation will soon be assisting flood affected farmers in the western division.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad will soon embark on its project which will get farmers back to their feet.
President Jay Dayal says they will assist around 1,000 farmers in Ba with vegetable seeds.
“We are talking to various donors overseas including our counterparts in NZ and UK to actually fund this project so that we can target at least a thousand farmers with $130 worth of vegetable seeds including long bean, raddish, coriander and few others so that each farmer can at least start somewhere.”
Dayal says the cost of the project will be more than $50,000.
