August 8, 2015 4:42 am

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says Fiji has adopted major reforms to create a hospitable climate for business and investment.

Speaking at the breakfast with Vancouver Board of Trade earlier this week Bainimarama said reforms have been carried out in the educational system and the government has invested heavily to improve infrastructure which includes ports, highways, communications, airports and hospitals.

He says these investments have reinforced policy changes.

Bainimarama says by reducing taxes and providing rational incentives for investment, Fiji has produced six consecutive years of economic growth, with more that 4% for past three years.

He says Fiji is also on track for investment to exceed 25% of GDP for third straight year.

Bainimarama told the guests an Online Single Window Clearance System has been launched to speed up the investment process.

He says this internet-based gateway will allow investors anywhere in the world to deal with critical government agencies like FRCA, RBF, Investment Fiji and the Registrar of Companies.
