The Real Estate agents were today reminded to work within the ambit of the law and ensure the industry is clean of unscrupulous dealers.

Speaking at the Real Estate conference for agents and salespersons, Trade Minister, Faiyaz Koya says industry players need to understand the quality and ethical responsibilities to conduct their business.

Koya says concerns have been raised that some agents are ignorant of their responsibilities under the law particularly in the advertising area.

He says misleading and false representation have been made to the clients.

Koya says a guideline in advertising, conduct between salespersons, and agency agreement provision will be drawn up for the industry soon.
