Police have apprehended a 21-year-old suspect in relation to two alleged attacks on children at a settlement in Suva early this week.

The man is alleged to have taken a five year old girl out of her home and raped her in bushes nearby early Monday morning.

The suspect allegedly entered the house by removing louvers from a window.

On the same morning, the suspect went into another house.

He was disturbed while allegedly trying to rape an eight-year-old girl in her bedroom.

The suspect is being questioned at the Samabula Police Station.
