Qaqa crowned Miss Fiji 2017

Miss Nasinu, Hally Qaqa was crowned Miss Fiji 2017 at Thurston Garden in Suva last night.

The twenty-three-year old beauty who also won the Miss People’s choice award and best research topic will now represent Fiji at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.

Qaqa says she will represent our nation to the best of her ability and be a voice for people affected by climate change.

“I will promise to do my best in being an advocate for climate change and I promise to be an example to all women out there, to be an example of change and to be an example of what society needs as far as women are concerned.”

Qaqa dedicated her achievement to her family, friends, municipality and a late Nasinu supporter.

Meanwhile, first runner up was awarded to Miss Suva, Candice Veramu, second runner up went to Miss Sigatoka, Magdalene Vollmer, Miss Savusavu, Lusiana Mulo was the third runner up and Miss Ovalau was awarded fourth place.

The Miss Pacific Islands pageant will be held in Nadi in December.
