Police are urging the public to report any and all details of any criminal activities.
This comes as posts on social media on home invasions have being rampant.
Chief of Operations – ACP Rusiate Tudravu says they will only investigate what’s being reported to them.
“If they come to Police, they have to come specifically and advise us on the actual things are happening not something that they just assume. With us there’s different stories and there are different stories going out in the general social media.”
Over the last couple of weeks, some people have published comments on social media where they suspected the use of drugs or sleeping gas that induced sleep while thieves robbed them.
ACP Tudravu confirms while they have received reports with these claims, their medical analysis has turned up negative.
The Police Chief reiterating the notion by Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho that Police will not respond to various claims on social media.
