Vodafone will be giving prizes to travelers on a weekly basis to encourage people to use the e-ticketing system.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says that fifty travelers will be entitled to a $50 prize.
“So every week you have $50 given to 50 travelers throughout Fiji who are using e-ticketing. The end of it by Christmas, just before Christmas all those people who have been in the draw and actually won a prize will also be eligible to a much bigger prize which Vodafone will announce next week to a value of about $70,000.”
Sayed-Khaiyum says that they have had discussions with Vodafone and the Fiji Bus Operators Association to see where people can nominate who they believe is a good and courteous driver.
He adds that those drivers will also be publicly acknowledged and they will also be given prizes.
