A post mortem has been conducted on the body of the 43-year-old farmer of Labasa who was found dead along a tram-line near Labasa Town last Thursday.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says investigations are still ongoing, however, they will not reveal further information on the result of the post-mortem.

The man was drunk and was lying on the tramline when a locomotive ran over him.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
