She says the political disruption within SODELPA pushed her to make this decision.

“The Party is at its lowest that is actually one of the factors that have actually influenced my decision to leave SODELPA when I handed in my resignation to the party”.

Tabuya adds she will be contesting the General Election later this year with People’s Alliance Party.

The former Opposition Whip now joins Filimoni Vosarogo and other former SODELPA members.

Tabuya informed the Leader of Opposition and members of the Opposition of her resignation with immediate effect in an email.

People’s Alliance Party Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says since leaving SODELPA, he has stayed away from all its affairs and maintains that the door to his party for other potential candidates is always open.
