No one has come forth to identify a woman whose body was found floating in the Rewa River in Nausori on Saturday afternoon.

The victim is a Fijian of Indian descent and is believed to be aged between 45-55years.

She is 4ft 9inc tall of fair complexion and has long black hair and was wearing a blue and white dress with a key pinned to the front of her dress.

Her body was discovered by a 28- year old woman who was diving for fresh water mussels in the river near the Nayala Sub-division.

Nausori police are appealing for information that would help identify the victim.

A post mortem to determine the cause of her death can only be carried out once she is identified by a next of kin.
