Police Super Rugby Operation a success

July 2, 2016 5:51 am

More than two hundred police officers were part of the Super Rugby Operation to ensure that there were no major incidents during the first ever match between the Chiefs and Crusaders yesterday.

Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu says the only report received from the games venue was of people trying to beat the intricate ticketing system whereby sold tickets were either photocopied and attempts to reuse them proved futile.

He says drone technology was introduced last night to assist in their operation and to keep an eye on the outer cordoned off areas.
