The Fiji Police Force has restructured its spending methods says acting Police Commissioner, Isikeli Ligairi.

Ligairi says the force is very strict with the re-allocation of money to other projects.

These comments were made today while addressing the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence on the Fiji Police Force – 2014 Annual Report.

“We are very strict now – we are trying to utilize the funds for the purpose it was approved for. We are not doing a lot of retirement now. We are stopping people – no work within what we have.”

The Fiji Police Force was allocated a budget of a hundred and eleven point seven million dollars in 2014 – this was an increase of nineteen point five million.
