More than one hundred police officers from the Police Response Unit will be deployed to various divisions this week as part of the Fiji Police Force’s Christmas and New Year operation.
Director Operation ACP Rusiate Tudravu says this is to fasten the system and the process of arresting criminals involved in serious offenses in the country.
“This is just to improve our service delivery, regain the confidence of people in terms of our visibility within the populated areas and also to fasten up some of the backlogs cases that causing a lot of discussion amongst communities’
Tudravu says movement of personnel has already started.”
Twenty personnel are already in the western division, ten will be dispersed to Taveuni joining their counterparts from the northern division while another ten will be stationed at the Nausori Police Station joining another ten who are already there.
