About 3,600 police officers who served in the force from 2004-2011 will receive their pay out today.

The payment relates to arrears in the Job Evaluation Exercise.

Police say pay slips will be issued upon request.

And proper legal documents will have to be provided to verify payment of monies to the families of officers who are deceased.

About 1200 officers have resigned, retired or passed away after 2004.

The Government approved the allocation of $16 million for the pay out.
