A police officer is currently admitted at the CWM Hospital after he was involved in an early morning accident along Gordon Street in Suva.

It’s believed the officer was riding a motorbike which allegedly collided with a taxi.

FBC News spoke with some eyewitnesses who allege the police officer overtook a few vehicles before hitting the taxi.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says an investigating officer is at the hospital.

Naisoro says other details pertaining to the case will be released later.
