Police investigation into Grace Road continues

The Police Force says investigators are still gathering information into allegations made against Grace Road Founder Shin Ok-ju.

The Force began investigation earlier this month after being contacted by the Korean authorities.

It says they will only comment further on the issue once investigation is completed.

There are allegations of assault and confinement against the Grace Road Church Founder Shin Ok-ju and three other church leaders.

Ok-ju who appeared before the office in North Korea is charged with several offenses which include the incarceration of 400 of her churches followers who reportedly had their passports seized on arrival in Fiji along with all their belongings.

FBC News understands the Grace Road Church has had a long history with controversy, in 2015 the Korean Presbyterian Church officially defined Pastor Ok-ju’s organization as a cult.
