Police Investigated in CID raid

The Fiji Police are going heavy with internal investigations in regards to the break-in at the Criminal Investigations Department in Toorak, Suva.

But they cannot confirm if they were involved.

Police officers have also been investigated into the break-in as the directive from the Police Commissioner that investigations be carried out within and out of the force.

The Commissioner says he wants both immediate arrest and recovery of the stolen items.

FBC NEWS have been told that drugs was involved in the theft and cause millions of dollars but this cannot be confirmed by Police.

With high security system in place at the building, police also cannot confirm as yet if they were working at the time of the raid.

Police says their Integrity has been brought to light after the incident.

Police say only those that work at the CID headquarters knows what is being kept inside the building, no arrest has been made as yet.

Investigations are continuing.
