An investigation is still underway by Police on the alleged discovery of burnt human remains in Nawaicoba Nadi.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says that a man in his 20’s is being questioned in relation to the discovery.

FBC News understands that the man is being questioned for the disappearance of his wife.

The woman was reported missing by her family on the 11th of this month.

However, Naisoro says upon investigation, they received information that the man allegedly inflicted serious harm on her.

FBC News can also confirm that the man had confessed to the alleged incident which prompted police to search his compound and found what is believed to be burnt human remains that were buried.

Police have also sent the samples to forensic today.
