Police clamp down on drug suppliers, peddlers and users

With the festive season at hand, police areclamping down on drug suppliers, peddlers and users.

Deputy Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu says they will continue to monitor the movement of people and criminals.

“We are revisiting farms that has already been uprooted that’s what we are currently doing now. And upon information that I received from members of the public – we also go to other farms that have been identified.”

DPC Tudravu says they will have no difficulty in bringing down people who are on the wrong side of the law.

“We are vigorously pursuing on our awareness programme trying to get to the members of the public the bad effects of drugs.”

The Police Force are also working closely with their partners around the Pacific to root out marijuana and hard drugs.
