Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has thanked the delegation representing the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) from the Navy Hospital Ship Ark Peace.

This is the Ark Peace’s second trip to Fiji to provide free medical services on-board the floating hospital which was open to the public in Suva yesterday.

Berthed at the Suva wharf, Fijians are being urged to make use of the free medical services with around 120 doctors on the ship in addition to other medical personnel’s.

The Ark Peace has the capacity to see up to 600 patients a day.

The Chinese delegation was led by Chinese High Commissioner to Fiji Qian Bo.

Meanwhile, the ship is also scheduled to visit 13 other countries after Fiji.
