PM apologises for delay of text books

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has apologised to students of Rabulu Primary School that they have had to start the school year without the new textbooks.

Speaking at the opening of a new classroom block at the school, Bainimarama assured the students that government is working hard to ensure the textbooks are delivered by the end of the month.

He promised the students that this kind of delay will not happen again.

Meanwhile the construction of the new $48,300 classroom block was funded by the Prime Minister’s Office through it’s Small Grants Scheme.

Rabulu Primary School has a roll of 190 students and serves the villages of Kavuli, Rabulu, Balata, Yaqara, Viti Vanua, Naseyani, Draunivi, Togovere and Caboni.
