The Peoples Community Network has denied claims of abuse of funds and clarified that there are no financial issues as they await for extra funding approval from government.

Claims had been made that the PCN was not managing their funds wisely, however PCN Director Semiti Qalowasa clarified with FBC News that everything has been accounted for.

Qalowasa says project delay and unforeseen circumstances has forced the Peoples Community Network to ask for extra funding from the government.

“Talking to the Minister i am sure that they will come in with that 800 thousand dollars because the need is there, it’s not that the money is abused it’s the cause that was not factored in”

Qalowasa says all funds have been utilized in a transparent manner and all reports have been submitted to the Local Government Ministry.

Meanwhile, Local Government Permanent Secretary Joshua Wycliff has said that extra funds will be released to PCN after an internal audit is carried out.
