Pacific TAFE aims to internationally accredit all its programs

The University of the South Pacific’s Technical and Further Education (TAFE) is urging students to invest in programmes that are accredited and recognized internationally.

Pacific TAFE Executive Director, Hasmukh Lal says having qualifications that are recognized by overseas countries can go a long way.

Lal says there are students in schools who are still undecided on what courses to take.

“At the moment still some students they are undecided about their study options for their tertiary studies so i think they need to make a choice where they are going to invest and their going to get a good return and by investing in a good programme which has international accreditation, it will give them significant mileage in terms of seeking employment opportunities in the work force”.

Meanwhile, around one thousand two hundred students graduated from Pacific TAFE last year with four hundred more to graduate in March this year.

The institution has sixteen of its programmes already internationally recognized with an aim to get international accreditation on the remainder of its nineteen programs.
