Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Dame Meg Taylor has reiterated her stance for a more inclusive regional institution.

The SG says, the framework for Pacific Regionalism represents a different way of doing business that sets out an on-going commitment to inclusive regional public policy development.

This she says was symbolized in the first ever meeting between representatives of civil society and the forum leaders which included the past, present and future chairpersons.

Dame Taylor conceded that the issues before the regional leaders are multi-faceted and complex and cannot be solved or delivered by one organization.

However, member countries, regional and international organizations, the private sector and civil society will all need to have on-going discussions in order to advance the region’s new priorities.
