Fiji has a unique culture of learning and they are quicker to absorb into Opera, a musical score, usually in a theatre setting.

Visiting US Opera artist Kevin Maynor made the comments in Suva today.

Maynor says Fijian students are wonderful and eager to learn and have beautiful voices…..what we could class as the new music for majority of the population.

After an invite from the US Ambassador to Fiji Frankie Reed, Maynor says he is so excited to be part of the Fijian tradition and is compelled with the effort from music learners.

Twenty-five Fiji students got an opportunity to be part of the first ever free concert which will be held at the Civic Centre in Suva tomorrow night.
