Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says our 2016 Olympic campaign reflects the progress we have made as a nation.

In his message before leaving for Rio De Janeiro, Brazil – Bainimarama said Fijians are – more focussed, more united, with more opportunity for every Fijian than at any time in our history.

He says Fiji has achieved gold in terms of our economic performance, a record seven straight years of growth that is creating jobs and improving our living standards.

Bainimarama says the government is empowering more people, whether it is through free schooling, scholarships and tertiary loans or free medicine, pensions and a range of other leg-ups.
