There is no confirmation yet on the installation of the vacant Vunivalu title of Bau.

FBC News is currently trying to seek clarification from the Turaga Na Roko Tui Bau, Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua on the installation.

However, according to media reports the installation is scheduled for this month.

The chiefly title has been vacant since 1989.

Ratu Sir George Kadavulevu Cakobau was the last Vunivalu of Bau who held the title for 30 years until his death in 1989.

Currently, there are two successors to the chiefly title–Ratu George Kadavulevu and Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.

Ratu George is the only son of Ratu Sir George from his first marriage while
Ratu Epenisa Cakobau is his eldest son from his second marriage.
