NFA Board appoints new CEO

Manasa Lesuma has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for the National Fire Authority effective from yesterday.

This come after long recruitment process and with the endorsement and approval of Minister for Local Government, Parveen Kumar.

NFA Board Chairman, John O’Connor, says the NFA is currently formulating its Strategic Plan 2018 – 2023 and Lesuma’s appointment is timely because once the Strategic Plan is endorsed by the Board, he will be responsible and accountable for its implementation and the achievement of the key performance indicators.

Lesuma is a former civil servant with 11 years of experience in the Government sector, having worked at the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport for 11 years and was the Deputy Secretary Operations for six years prior to accepting the offer from the National Fire Authority.
