The Head Teacher of Uluiqalau District School, Seniteteva Tupou received the minibus on behalf of students with special needs.

Tupou says it all began at the end of last year when the Special Education Unit conducted a workshop on Lakeba.

Before the workshop, he put up a survey on the students’ performance in the school and found out that there were three students with physical disabilities.

Tupou then invited the Education Officer to consider the survey which led to the school being registered last year as a Special school.

Tupou says with the registration, he applied for the assistance which will now make it more accessible for students with special needs.
