A new mini hydro, generating 700 kilo watts of power will generate electricity for the whole of Taveuni in the near future.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says this will improve the lives of all Fijians on the island.

The construction of the mini-hydro costs $15 million. It’s funded by the Chinese government and construction is expected to be completed in 16 months.
