Fiji celebrated its 45th Independence Day today.

For some it was an opportunity to sit with their families and friends and think about the country’s journey to independence.

Vendors of the Nausori market celebrated the nation’s Independence in the newly built market.

The cake was cut by the oldest market vendor Ram Pati.

In Suva, it was a time to take the family out, especially the children to Suva Point or Suva Park for a picnic to celebrate the day.
