The weather we’re experiencing is similar to TC Yasa: Ali

Heavy rain and strong winds are currently being experienced in Vunika, Tabia, Seaqaqa and Waiqele in the Northern Division.
Vunika resident Amka Maharaj says heavy rain started around 4pm yesterday with winds picking up intensity by the hour.
Maharaj says the momentary gusts of winds currently being experienced has blown off their water tank.
He adds they’ve being experiencing strong winds in the past few hours.
Seaqaqa resident Imitiaz Ali told FBC News that they have been experiencing similar conditions in the past several hours.
He says strong momentary gusts are also shaking their house which was battered by TC Yasa.
Ali says the current weather situation being felt by people in the greater Labasa area is similar to that of TC Yasa.
He adds that most people are now using lantern and solar lights as power is currently off in most parts of Labasa.
