TC Mona located about 200km southeast of Rotuma

TC Mona was located about 200km southeast of Rotuma or about 300km north-northwest of Labasa or about 420km north of Nadi at 4am today.

The Fiji Meteorological Services says a gale warning remains in force for Rotuma.

Close to the centre, the 10 minute average winds is estimated to be about 65km/hr with momentary gusts to 90km/hr.

TC Mona is moving south at about 20km/hr.

The system is expected to be located about 200 km north-northwest of Labasa or about 350 km north-northeast of Nadi at 4pm today and about 90km north of Labasa or about 310 km northeast of Nadi at 4am tomorrow.

A gale warning is also now in force for land areas of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and northern Lau group.

A strong wind warning remains in force for Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa group and northern Viti Levu from Rakiraki to Tailevu north.

A strong wind warning remains in force for all Fiji waters.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern half of Viti Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
