Fiji Airways men’s 7s captain Kalione Nasoko will miss Day Two of the Vancouver tournament with a knee cartilage issue.
This was confirmed by the Fiji Rugby Union.
Isoa Tabu has come into the 12-member squad to replace Nasoko.
Coach Gareth Baber says the length of rehab will be determined when they return to Fiji.
Paula Dranisinukula to take Captaincy for Day Two while Filimoni Botitu will continue to play on.
Meanwhile, Fiji will try and avoid its third loss to New Zealand when they meet in the cup quarterfinal in Vancouver this morning.

New Zealand defeated Fiji 36-14 in the cup semifinal in Sydney and again Fiji went down by 14-19 in the cup quarterfinal in Las Vegas.
Fiji takes on New Zealand in the second quarterfinal at 6.30 tomorrow morning.
South Africa plays Argentina in the first quarterfinal at 6:08am.

England battles the USA in the third quarterfinal at 6:52am.
