Member of Parliament Balmindar Singh failed to appear at the Nasinu Magistrates Court this morning.

Singh is charged with one count each of dangerous driving and failure to supply sufficient breath analysis on the direction of a Police officer.

It is alleged that on June 2nd, along Kings Road in Nakasi, Singh drove a motor vehicle in a manner which was dangerous to the public.

Prosecution alleges that upon being required by a Police officer to provide specimen of breath that would enable the analysis to be carried out, Singh failed to do so.

Singh was to take a plea this morning.

Due to his absence from court, the matter has been adjourned to August 17th.
