Some mothers and their newly-born had to be shifted away from their units at the Anderson Unit Maternity Ward at Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

Strong winds and heavy rain caused leaks in the ceiling last night.

Hospital staff had to relocate patients to other wards and some were even moved into the corridors.
